Sour Tsunami

Sour Tsunami is famously known for its low THC levels, making it the ideal therapeutic strain for those wishing to avoid the typical marijuana high. This strain is loaded with high CBD amounts between 10% and 12%. THC on the other hand accounts for less than 10%. This strain was developed by Lawrence Ringo from the Southern Humboldt Seed Collective. It took him four years of hard labor to come up with Sour Tsunami which is a cross between Sour Diesel, NYC Diesel and a little known of Californian strain called Ferrari. This strain is sativa dominant with 60% sativa and 40% indica.  The buds and leaves of this plant are famous for their dark green shade with some purple streaks. The scent is musky diesel with a mix of pine, citrus and woody undertones. When you exhale after puffing this strain, you may be left with a mouthful of heavy sour taste, as the name Sour Tsunami suggests.

This strain may fail to appeal to seasoned stoners for obvious reasons, the low THC levels. But for those seeking therapeutic benefits without any associated cerebral high, this may be the very best of strains. Lawrence Ringo who has also benefitted from his own creation claims that this strain is able to relieve pain in 15 minutes or less.

Sativas take longer to flower than their indica counterparts; they also give a lower yield. Sour Tsunami will take between nine and ten weeks to flower which is actually not a very long time to wait. Each Sour Tsunami seed has a 25% chance of having 1:2 THC to CBD ratio, making this a hard strain to cultivate.

Origin

Sour Tsunami was created by Lawrence Ringo from the Southern Humboldt Seed Collective. He intended to use this strain to treat his severe back pain, which he was able to do.  It took him four years to come up with Sour Tsunami which is a hybrid of Sour Diesel, NYC Diesel and a Californian strain called Ferrari. This strain is famous for its high CBD and low THC, as most other strains will have THC levels that are above 25%.
