Blue Cheese

About Blue Cheese

Blue Cheese Marijuana Strain
Blue Cheese is an indica-dominant hybrid strain that delivers a balanced mind and body high. Let the name not fool you into thinking that the smell is cheesy. The name has more to do with its lineage; it is a cross between Blueberry strain and the UK native Cheese strain. It is a potent strain with 15%-20% THC and a minimal 2% CBD.The buds are large and dense while the leaves are medium sized and full of snow colored sticky trichomes.

The resin produces the cannabinoids and terpenes that give this strain its great therapeutic properties. You can spot copper colored pistils which come in handy for pollination purposes. The buds are difficult to break when fresh; you will need to use a grinder to get this done. The aroma is mostly sweet with berry undertones originating from the parent Blueberry strain. When smoked, the taste is choking and may induce spontaneous coughing. It also leaves a hash-like after taste that may take some getting used to.

The high from this strain kind off creeps up on you, starting from a gently body hit to a moderate cerebral high typical of indica strains. This strain mellows but rarely gives a couch lock effect. It gives gentle euphoria that has a calming effect on the mind and is ideal for treating PTSD, insomnia and minor body aches.

Blue Cheese is also a great appetite stimulant; expect it to rev up the munchies. This strain can be taken at anytime of the day as the effects are well balanced.

When it comes to growing, this is an easy strain to grow in cool climates. You can either use seeds that are available from a couple of breeders or use clippings from mature plants.
