About
As the name suggests, Tangie is a very citrusy strain, however it has some skunky undertones originating from its Skunk relatives. The smoke has a delicious taste that is fruity and piney at the same time.
It has light green buds which are coated with highly resinous trichromes. The trichromes have a whitish appearance and given how thick they are it is hard to break the buds by hand. The orange pistils break the monotony of the green making Tangie a beautiful sight to behold.
Being sativa, expect Tangie to give you an enjoyable head buzz that is unforgettable. This should make you more energized, creative and focused. New patients should perhaps start out with milder strains before they can get used to potent strains such as Tangie. This strain will also trigger the feeling of hunger, so be prepared to handle this in case hunger pangs strike at midnight.
With high THC levels, Tangie is uplifting and stimulating. The high energy may be used to treat symptoms of depression without causing major side effects such as addiction. Tangie’s high may also cause increased focus and the ability to focus on important tasks. Tangie may be used to treat anxiety and restlessness. It is a good strain to be enjoyed with friends as well.

Terpenes
Terpene Profile
Like its Skunk relatives, Tangie has myrcene which gives off a skunky smell. This smell needs some getting used to especially when trying out cannabis for the first time. Fortunately for Tangie, the citrus smell from limonene overpowers the skunk. You may also catch some piney scents from this strain, indicating the presence of pinene. Each of these terpenes offers an important healing effect that enhances the therapeutic value of Tangie.
Myrcene
A study done by The University of Coimbra in Portugal in 2015 showed that myrcene has anti-catabolic effects. This means that it prevents the breakdown of cartilage and slows down the progression of arthritis.
Limonene
Given the strong citrus smell, limonene has been used in aromatherapy to elevate the moods and relax the mind. It also has anti bacterial and anti fungal properties.
Pinene
Pinene is mostly found in coniferous trees. A number of studies have revealed that pinene can be used to treat symptoms of asthma.
Patient reported positive effects
Tangie offers a balanced effect on the mind and the body, meaning that even new patients may be able to tolerate it well. The high is robust and will excite you and change your moods instantly. You may also find yourself recalling things from the past that you had not thought off in a long while; this is because Tangie will give you clarity and focus. Your short term memory however may not be as good. This strain is more cerebral, but will also cause your body to feel relaxed. Because of this it is better to take this during the day when you need energy and a buzz of creativity. Patients who have taken this in the evening have reported not being able to fall asleep.
